About Us

We are the Regnier family of Happy Baby Ranch.

We are first generation ranchers. We left the middle class world to chase our dream of raising our family in the Western way of life.  With 3 cowkids in tow, we’re building our family ranch in the Chippewa River Valley of western Wisconsin.

How we went from middle class to the middle of nowhere...

Since before we got married, we have shared a love for horses & the Western way of life.  Beautiful, simple, in God’s Creation.

Our love of horses & all things Western took us on a honeymoon in Wyoming, to jury-rigging a horse setup in our backyard, to buying a ranch in North Dakota, to our current ranch in the Chippewa River valley of western Wisconsin.

Christopher exchanged his suit & tie for a cowboy hat and boots, Faustina dusted off her saddle, and we got started.  Happy Baby Ranch was born.

How it came to be...

Summer of 2024, after years of discernment.  Through Christopher’s burnout in corporate.  Through Faustina’s healing journey from a toxic family.  Through six years of discovering our marriage and family mission… God spoke clearly: Create a place of rest for tired souls.

We’ve lived it ourselves.  We know what it’s like to be confused, weighed down, fighting the good fight but exhausted.  We know the ache of “Is this all there is?”  We know what it’s like when a loss, a conflict, a gradual erosion of hope brings you to the edge of giving up on the Good.

And we know what healing looks like.  What deep rest can do.  What happens when everything finally falls away and God can work.

Many people have told us our home, our family, carries a spirit of peace they feel when they walk in.  This isn’t something we manufactured.  It’s our charism, the particular grace God has given us to share with the world.

Now we’re being called to expand that gift.  To create a place where others can experience what we’ve discovered: that rest isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity.  That silence isn’t empty; it’s full.  That stepping away isn’t escape; it’s the path back to yourself and to God.

That place?  Happy Baby Ranch.

Faustina's Story

Faustina grew up around horses & quickly developed a reputation as a “horse whisperer”.  While many view horses as a tool, that should do what they’re told when they’re told to do it; Faustina sees them as partners, worthy of respect & open to relationship.  She works to earn their trust & then their love, developing once-in-a-lifetime partnerships along the way.

Christopher's Story

Christopher grew up in an upper middle class family & didn’t have much opportunity to be around horses, although he changed that as fast as he could.  With a background in software sales, Christopher leverages his business skills alongside his budding horsemanship to assist Faustina in connecting clients with the horses of their dreams.
